THE JUNGLE CHILDREN & THE GIANT SNAKE
────────
The sound of laughing, frolicking children echoed through the jungle. As the laughter neared, the leaves began to jitter, tiny insects teetered, and reptiles quickly scurried. Swooshing out from the bushes was the gigantic snake. And riding on its back were little jungle children. The gigantic banana colored snake had to be at least three school buses long and as thick as a tree.

High up in the treetops, Gedly was cloaked in shadow behind leaves and a large spyglass. He was tracking the giant snake with deadly precision. His eyes were icy cold like the hunter he once was.
What a prize, he thought, the adrenaline rushing through Gedly’s veins. Your head will fit nicely with my collection.
“Give me the spyglass,” irked Magnificent Wintia.
A smile slowly crept over his face as he spied the giant snake—it was such a surprise to himself that Magnificent Wintia nearly fell backwards. The minutes crawled by ever so slowly as the men waited impatiently to strike. Suddenly, Magnificent Wintia perked up nearly fumbling away the spyglass.
“IT’S COMING!” He shouted. “The snake’s coming this way! Get ready Gedly… JUMMMPPP!”
The two men dropped from the treetop like sacks of potatoes and landed right in front of the gigantic snake. The jungle children screamed and then one of them recognized the men. Magnificent Wintia and Gedly, were the meal that had escaped earlier. Pablo though, wasn’t so lucky. He was caught and slowly broiled alive.
The gigantic snake slithered carefully toward the men. Its large tongue darted in and out like a hound dog’s nose sniffing for clues. It had never seen a grown-up before and it was absolutely fascinated. Magnificent Wintia was also fascinated, but all he saw were glittering gold coins. Then he raised his arms and announced:
“The search is over! This will be the greatest sideshow act ever seen by man!”
Unaware of the great big smile stretched across his face, Magnificent Wintia gloated as if he had conquered the world. Gedly on the other hand, appeared to have seen a ghost.
“You’re face!” stuttered Gedly. “You have been cursed!”
Gedly quickly switched on his zapstick. It crackled and popped shooting out tiny lightning bolts scaring away the jungle children. |

“Put that away!” barked Magnificent Wintia. “You’re going to scare it off! Can’t you see there’s something different about this one?”
“It’s no different than a wild jaguar or a raging rhino!” Yelled Gedly. He turned up the knob of his zapstick to MAX, and before the gigantic snake could escape, Gedly had zapped it right on the white of its belly.
“FUNDY!” cried the jungle children.
It was the last sound Fundy heard before blacking out.
