Where Are You Mr. Whiskers?

────────

Arion and Elly were married at the Christmas Waltz. It was the happiest moment of their lives and their first dance, pure magic. Everyone fell in love with the Christmas Waltz couple. Ever since then, that magical night remains close to the hearts of cats because they had witnessed true love and shared the spirit of the Christmas Waltz.

But the strangest thing happened the following winter: Cat Felicity lost its Christmas Waltz spirit. It all happened when Mr. Whiskers stopped visiting Cat Felicity.

Mr. Whiskers was a special cat. He came from the human world representing all pet cats on Earth. He often visited Cat Felicity to share wonderful stories about his human parents and the human world. Cat Felitizens loved listening to his stories and, eagerly waited for his next visit.

Every Christmas Waltz, Mr. Whiskers would don a big red hat and a fluffy white beard looking just like Professor Neknone, giving out presents—a tradition which passed to him from previous cat representatives. So in turn, cats loved Mr. Whiskers, and he loved them.

Then why did Mr. Whiskers stop visiting? Well, it remains a big mystery still, and what about Cat Felicity losing its Christmas Waltz spirit? Well, Mayor Wibs has an answer for that: When Mr. Whiskers returns, the Christmas Waltz spirit will return.

Many agreed, however, most Felicity Elders believed: When Mr. Whiskers returns, the spirit of Cat Felicity will return. And then there were the odd ones that believed: When Mr. Whiskers left, a curse was put on Cat Felicity.
So, when cats mysteriously began disappearing, t
he fear of a curse on Cat Felicity hit like a tidal wave.

Years passed and sadly, those missing cats were never heard of again. Mr. Whiskers never returned nor did another cat visit from Earth. The same excuse Mayor Wibs and the Elders used over and over again that: the missing cats will return one day when Mr. Whiskers returns, only made Cat Felitizens sad, angry and scared.
