Joel's New Voice |

Only in his dreams, did Joel have a voice. He’d always be standing on a grand stage in front of thousands of fans singing all his favourite songs. But, when he woke up, the voice was gone, and it made him very sad.
“Don't ever stop dreaming,” his mother would tell him, “because you are what you dream.”
So Joel decided to write his own songs to sing in his dreams. He wrote often, and especially on those long boring train rides with his parents on Sundays. And after months of writing, Joel had accumulated more than fifty pages of songs, which he’d carry in his knapsack. |

Every night before bedtime, Joel would play make-believe. He would sing the songs he had written for his parents, and thousands of make-believe fans. And often, Mr. and Mrs. Secof would join in the fun, playing backup singers and even played make-believe instruments. Those were some of their happiest times together. As soon as Joel fell asleep, he was whisked off to that grand stage in his dream.
